Adventure Pack
It was pretty rainy when the pack headed out for our hike at the Chautauqua this morning. There were a number of magpies hanging out near the trail head and Avo watched them closely as we went by. A short time later, we passed a Malamute whom Avo barked at. The Malamute barked back and then the whole pack had a moment of pandemonium before I got them all to sit and focus on me. After triggering that unfortunate greeting, Avo spent the hike on leash along with Sputnik. Ruffers and Dylan stuck close by the whole hike eve though they were off leash, as if huddling together against the cold and wet weather. There weren't many other hikers out, but we did encounter a Greyhound on our way back. The pack was much more polite that time around.
Variety Pack
Rey bolted out of the packmobile toward the prairie dogs as soon as I opened the door at Valmont Park this afternoon. She poked her head in the nearest hole while a chorus chirped all across field. Rey then made her way back over to me and the rest of the pack. As we walked, Rey, Imogene, Carl, and Riley all closely watched the agitated prairie dogs. Zoey and Zoe, on the other hand, showed no interest. The skies were much clearer than they had been for the hike, and the pack came away from the walk dry.
