Wednesday Pack Activities (6/26/2024)
Adventure Pack
The pack spent a while hanging out at the stream before we made our way up Saddle Rock this morning. We took a gentle pace up the mountain. Lou and Bear both lay down in the shallow water further when the trail came close to the stream again further up. Ruffers and Bear were reluctant to move on from the stream to head back down. The sun was out as we made our way back across the Chautauqua meadow at the end of the hike, which caused Ruffers and Bear to veer off into the grass and seek every spot of shade along the way.
Variety Pack
Gathering storm clouds blocked the sun this afternoon, which made for a pleasant time at Valmont Dog Park. There weren't very many other dogs there, but the pack made friends with everyone they saw. First was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who followed Buddy around a bit. Next was a group of four dogs who were into playing fetch. Two were mild-mannered and friendly; the other two were a bit cranky and kept chasing Archie and Alfie off as they tried to play. Griff was first to greet a little Cairn Terrier who mingled with the pack for a bit. After that, there was a black pit bull who ran and ran with Alfie, Buddy, and Archie.
