Wednesday Pack Activities (5/17/2023)
Adventure Pack
The overflow of the creek at Gregory Canyon has reduced to a trickle through just the initial stretch of trail from the trail head, so the pack headed up that way today. Dylan was off leash first and he slipped down into the creek as his packmates looked on with envy. A bit further up the trail, Avo and Bear enjoyed splashing around in a stream together, in between rounds of Bear chasing Avo up the trail. Everyone enjoyed another dip when we reached the far point of our hike, where the creek crosses the trail. On the way back down, Avo stopped to observe an OSMP volunteer who was photographing flowers along the trail. Avo politely stood beside her and stared curiously at the flowers the woman was interested in before eventually breaking off and catching up with the rest of us.
Variety Pack
Griff and Archie enjoyed walking the Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. Archie got pretty excited about each of the other dogs we passed by, and he would start jumping around and then try to get Griff worked up, too. Griff wasn't having it, and gave Archie a stern bark with stiff posture whenever Archie tried jumping on him, which was effective in correcting Archie's outbursts and getting him to reign it in.
