Wednesday Pack Activities (3/6/2024)
Bonus Pack
Dylan, Beard, Roger Roger, Mrs. Miggins and Jonathan headed out for a walk around Wonderland Lake accompanied by Jen this morning. Beard was anxious to try to get ahead throughout the walk. Dylan, Roger Roger, Mrs. Miggins and Jonathan were all content to follow pace. There were several spots along the way that drew the noses of Dylan and Roger Roger, and the others also did some sniffing around here and there.
Adventure Pack
Ruffers, Lucy, Dylan and Bear headed up Mesa Trail from the Chautauqua today. Bluebell Road was bustling, but it was much quieter when we headed up to the mesa. Ruffers brought up the rear while Dylan led the way along the trail. Bear was pulling a bit early on, but eventually settled into pace along with me and Lucy. At one point, everyone's noses were drawn to a rock in the middle of the trail, and we stopped there while the dogs all figured out the score.
Variety Pack
The prairie dogs were out in force at Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. Alfie and Archie were both on alert over their presence. After we stopped for our pack photo, Buddy and Archie got restless and started tackling each other. Lumi nose-dived into the fray to snuggle/wrestle as well, and then started digging a hole while I was focused on separating the two instigators. On the return leg of our walk, Alfie and Lumi started at a robin who was hopping around just off the path. Well after that, I realized that my phone had slipped out of its pouch while I was wrangling the rambunctious pups. Thankfully, it was still there on the ground when I doubled back to retrieve it. Throughout the walk, Griff served his role as ranking pack member admirably, following in place as we walked and sternly addressing Archie when the latter tried to mount him several times in his reckless abandon.
