Adventure Pack
The theme of usual paths being closed off continued from yesterday, as Bluebell Road was not available and all the foot traffic was redirected to the Chautauqua Trail. Lucy was jumping and pulling a lot whenever other dogs passed by us. I switched her to my other side, so she wasn't so close to them as they passed, and her manners greatly improved. Tozai was interested in the dogs who went by, but he didn't jump or pull hard even after switching places with Lucy so he was closer to them. Bear and Ruffers minded their manners very well as we came by the many dogs and people on the trails today. Tozai found a stick to chew on at one point along the way. Bear gnawed on one end of it a bit and the two of them had a brief tug-of-war before I took the stick, had them sit, and then let Tozai chew it a little more before we moved on.
Variety Pack
Griff, Dylan, Tozai, Gidget, Blu, and Buddy walked up Boulder Creek Path to Jones Hole, like the pack did yesterday. The dogs all waded around in the water there a bit - and Dylan lay down for a soak - before we started making our way back toward Eben G. Fine Park. Everyone was doing a good job of keeping in formation and on pace, which made it relatively easy despite having such a full pack for the afternoon.
