Adventure Pack
Tozai, Lucy, Bear, and Ruffers headed to Kohler Mesa today. The Chautauqua was much emptier than the past couple days, despite the weather being nice and not so windy. Tozai and Lucy were getting very worked up about the occasional other dogs we passed. Still, Lucy did a good job of returning to the pack along with Bear when they were off leash and there was another dog a short way up the trail ahead. Ruffers and Bear provided better examples for their puppy packmates to follow.
Variety Pack
Buddy had his first outing back with the pack since recovering from the coyote attack several weeks ago. He was in good spirits and had no trouble keeping up - in fact, he was usually leading the way as we hiked the trails at CU South. He, Carl, Dylan, Lumi, Lou, and Griff all made lots of stops at the beginning of the walk, and did their best to get their leashes tangled up as they poked around in the brush, exploring all the scents they found there. Carl and Dylan were always the last two to still be sniffing after the others had their fills. Everyone was excited for a treat stop, and they all took their rewards very gently and politely.
