Wednesday Pack Activities (3/1/2023)
Adventure Pack
Ruffers and Dylan roamed off leash together, following slightly behind me and Avo as we hiked Shanahan Ridge. Once we started the return leg of the loop, Dylan shifted to the lead. Avo stayed on leash so we wouldn't have another deer leg fiasco. Even though Ruffers has always been quite a scavanger as well, she didn't venture off to find the remnants of Avo's Monday find. She and Dylan both stuck to the trail. We encountered several other dogs who walked right up to sniff hello, including the brown, 18-year-old Australian Shepherd we've encountered a few other times lately.
Variety Pack
Rey and Archie got in a session of hard play when we stopped at the house before the walk. Zoey wanted to join in the rough-housing but I kept her at my side since she still needs to let her stitches heal up from last week's procedure. Imogene stayed close to me by choice, and rested her head on my shoulder when we were back in the car on our way to The Peoples' Crossing for a walk along the Boulder Creek Path. Zoey made sure we stopped at several trees in Eben G. Fine Park. The pack was also curious about patches of upturned dirt along the edges of the paved path. There were a couple spots where tree trunks and upturned dirt were found together, and the whole pack busily put their noses to work to investigate the scenes.
