Wednesday Pack Activities (2/5/2025)

Adventure Pack

Tozai quickly found a pinecone to carry along at the beginning of our hike at Shanahan Ridge, but he dropped it before long. He, Bear, and Lucy all found various sticks along the way, and each tried stealing from the others whenever an opportunity presented itself. There were a lot of piles of horse manure along one stretch of trail. I kept a close eye on Tozai - who was off leash at the time - but then noticed Ruffers sniffing a little too long at a pile, and looking a little too interested. I quickly called her over before she would have made an unfortunate choice. Bear didn't take notice of the manure, but was very happy to roll around in a snow bank. Tozai and Lucy both started pouncing on and around him while he reveled.

Variety Pack

Looming grey clouds and a slight chill to the wind made me nervous that we would get rained on this afternoon, but it ended up being perfect walking weather! Racer, Alfie, Lumi, Griff, and Arlo trotted along Goose Creek Greenway in perfect rhythm, making for an even more pleasant outing. We only stopped a few times for sniffing and relieving. A few prairie dogs roamed in the distance, but didn't chirp at us. Still, I noticed Alfie, Arlo, and Racer all clocking them; however, they didn't pull at all or make any fuss about them. Griff and Lumi either didn't notice or didn't care about the far-off rodent activity.
