Wednesday Pack Activities (10/9/2024)

Adventure Pack

Bear and Ruffers lingered far behind on our way up the mountain, but kept closer pace with me and Lucy once we were walking on a level trail. We passed a couple excited, barky dogs on our way up Chautauqua Trail, and the pack stayed calm while going by them. The rest of the hike was calm and quiet, with some sniffing and poking around along the way. It was slightly cooler than the past several months have generally been, but we still lingered in the shaded spots.

Variety Pack

There were a few prairie dogs chirping from atop their mounds as we walked Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. Alfie and Buddy were both interested. We stopped before reaching each prairie dog and I addressed Buddy and Alfie to help them get control of themselves before they acted out. Lou, Griff, and Dylan were all relaxed and didn't mind the interruptions in our pace. A bit later on, Buddy and Alfie enjoyed rolling in the grass when the pack took a break at a green strip beside the path. Lou and Dylan also chilled out, but remained upright the whole time they lounged, while Griff just stood over his sprawled out packmates.
