Tuesday Pack Activities (9/20/2022)
Adventure Pack
Carl, Racer and Griff took their time sniffing along the edge of the Chautauqua Trail on our ascent today. Once we reached the crest, Carl was lingering behind while off leash and got grouchy about a pair of dogs on leashes who were coming up from behind us. He stood in the middle of the trail woofing at them as they approached. He eventually relented and came over to me as I called him, at which point I put him back on the leash for a bit.
Variety Pack
The pack greeted a shy young pup named Dexter at the Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Dylan and Archie were both very interested in getting to know the pup, while Petie gave an initial sniff and then moved on to explore the rest of the park. Dexter gradually got more comfortable with Dylan and Archie, but not enough to reciprocate Archie's invitations to play. Later on, Petie and Archie played some hop-and-dodge. At the tail end of our visit, Archie found a friend in a feisty 3 1/2-month-old Golden Retriever who was all about wrestling and rolling around with him.
