Tuesday Pack Activities (5/21/2024)

Adventure Pack

At first, Imogene let her nose lead her around as she went ahead of the pack. Griff stayed pretty close with Arlo and Racer as we made our way up the trail. Eventually, Imogene had enough of sniffing and decided it was time to start running. She sprinted all over the place - ahead, behind and all around the rest of us. Arlo really wanted to drink from the mucky stream we crossed on our way down Ski Jump Trail, and stubbornly planted himself when I pulled him along. He was much less enthused about drinking from the CamelBak, but had a bit when I cradled his head while squirting it into the side of his mouth. He was happier to drink from the public dog water bowl at the Chautauqua trail head alongside Racer, who takes water from any source whenever it is offered.

Variety Pack

Dylan and Carl headed down Boulder Creek Path for their afternoon stroll. We stopped at a couple trees in Eben G. Fine Park, where the boys sniffed and left their marks. In addition to the usual geese, there was a large heron at the Kids' Fishing Pond (which you can see above Carl's head in the photo). Dylan and Carl didn't care about either the geese or the heron, but both perked up at the mention of treats. The cool, overcast weather made for an easy, pleasant walk.
