Thursday Pack Activities
Adventure Pack
Racer was very distracted by the geese at the Kids' Fishing Pond today, but none of them hissed at us even as she pulled to try to get to them. We encountered a young pup named Malachi as we were crossing the big bridge at Central Park, and the pack stopped to sniff hello. Ruffers and Racer were the first greeters. Carl and Sputnik soon followed up. Sputnik was being very nice sniffing the pup for a minute, but then gave a couple high-pitched, scolding barks as soon as the puppy moved in a way he didn't like. Malachi backed off and sat down, and we soon continued on our way.
Variety Pack
Milo, Dylan and Riley headed to the Goose Creek Greenway by the Valmont Park this afternoon, under a canopy of storm clouds. There were a few distant rolls of thunder during our walk, but nothing came too close. The pack kept on the move steadily. The cloud cover helped keep it feeling relatively cool until about the last 5 or 10 minutes, when the clouds started dispersing.
