Thursday Pack Activities (7/6/2023)
Adventure Pack
Button and Racer hopped right into Boulder Creek at the start of our walk, in Eben G. Fine Park. Tucker hopped down to a step that was barely covered by the water, and didn't venture any further in. Griff remained dry atop a nearby boulder. We made a couple other stops at the water as we walked the Boulder Creek Path, and Button was quick to climb down in each time. It wasn't particularly hot today, but the sun was shining. It was encouraging to see the Boulder Creek Path looked to be in better shape than it had been the last time the pack walked there a few months ago, without an abundance of explosion-prone gas tanks littering the path.
Variety Pack
We seemed to be at the very edge of a storm that passed through, as the pack hiked the trails at CU South this afternoon. There were periodic rumbles of thunder in the distance, and rain sprinkled on and off as we went. Clover, Lou, Taco, Sanni, Carl and Zoey didn't make many stops, but there were a couple times when the whole crew decided a nearby bush was in need of thorough inspection. This was right after I tried to invite everyone to sniff around beside the trail, but no one was interested in the spot I suggested. I guess the pack was unimpressed with my instincts for sniffability.
