Thursday Pack Activities (2/13/2025)
Bonus Pack
After a break due to the extreme cold the past couple days, the packs were back in action! The day started with Teo, Milo, and Lou walking to Wonderland Lake. Teo was far more manageable with his Halti on, but was still having a perpetual emotional meltdown the entire walk, with peaks whenever another dog passed by us. Milo and Lou balanced it out by being exceptionally calm and well-behaved.
Adventure Pack
Rey and Griff roamed the trails at Shanahan Ridge off leash together. At one point, they both froze side-by-side and stared at something in the distance for a minute while Racer, Arlo, and I caught up to them. I wasn't able to detect whatever they were so interested in, but they eventually shrugged it off and returned to the trail with us when we got near. Racer and Arlo both enjoyed poking their noses into the snow and munching on it all along the way, often leaving them with dust-topped snouts.
Variety Pack
Dylan, Alfie, Carl, Tozai, Lucy, and Ruffers walked Bear Creek Greenway together this afternoon. I kept Lucy on a short leash as she jumped about half the time when bicyclists rode by. Carl hurried to the mile-marker boulder and was first to mark it, as his packmates came in behind him. Ruffers also marked the spot, but the rest just sniffed. Tozai was still trying out his annoying puppy routine on Dylan, who eventually switched positions so that Alfie was between the two of them. Tozai then turned his attention to nibbling at Alfie's elbows as we walked. Alfie just ignored the trouble-maker and let me address him. Aside from bugging his packmates, Tozai has been handling walking on pace with the pack nicely.
