Thursday Pack Activities (2/1/2024)
Adventure Pack
It was another quiet, beautiful day for a pack hike at Shanahan Ridge. Griff, Alfie and Racer all kept on the move pretty steadily the entire time. Racer was the only one doing much sniffing, and her approach tends to be to just take in what she can while she's walking, rather than stopping to investigate particular points of interest like many pack members do. Of course, we did make a few stops. Griff and Alfie marked the same tuft of grass from different sides, but they were off-set from each other enough that Griff didn't get tagged by Alfie despite the height differential.
Variety Pack
Arlo perked up at the sight of prairie dogs along Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. He watched them with interest, but didn't try to pull to them or lunge at them like Alfie did yesterday. Carl and Lou didn't pay any mind to the prairie dogs. The two of them were more interested in the scents to be discovered. Lou employed the hard-stop method whenever a fragrance caught her attention, and Carl was always quick to join her at the side of the path to check things out himself. Arlo poked around a bit, but not with the same dedication as his packmates.
