Monday Pack Activities (3/10/2025)
Adventure Pack
Tozai and Ruffers enjoyed their off-leash time sniffing along the edge of the trail together. Rey and Bear roamed a bit further from the trail when they were off leash later on. During the last leg of the hike, when everyone was back on leash together, Tozai struggled with his urge to mount Rey and needed to be addressed several times. We came across a very friendly and mild-mannered off-leash dog who stopped to sniff hello with the pack. Bear, Rey, and Tozai swarmed with curious noses, and all kept their composures well. Ruffers opted to hang out to the side while her packmates greeted the new friend.
Variety Pack
Dylan, Alfie, Carl, Lou, and Imogene headed to Martin Park this afternoon to walk Bear Creek Greenway. Lou stopped in the park and didn't want to go any further, so we all hung out for a few minutes and I got a pack photo in between doling out some pets. As soon as we got moving again, Carl decided he absolutely needed to stop and sniff the rock retaining wall beside the path. When we stopped again, everyone agreed that Carl was right about the importance of checking that spot out. Later on, we nearly passed by the mile-marker boulder by the basketball courts without stopping; however, Dylan recognized the oversight and made a hard turn to correct the mistake. Again, the rest of the pack was in agreement that Dylan made the right call about stopping to sniff. There were a couple other sniff stops along the way; Lou and Imogene took a pass at one of them, while the boys all made sure to leave their marks on the rock in question, and Alfie kicked up some turf.
