Monday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack

Sputnik and Ruffers had a fun time kicking up snow on the trails at the Chautauqua this morning. There weren't many other hikers out, so Sputnik got to spend a lot of time off leash. Even when Ruffers greeted a very exuberant Husky, Sputnik kept his cool while he was on leash at my side. It was interesting earlier on, when we were walking along the Baseline Trail, to actually see what was drawing the dogs' noses. The yellow coloring that speckled the snow at most of their points of interest made it very obvious.

Variety Pack

Poppy, Rey, and Zoey had a blast bounding through the snow at CU South this afternoon. It warmed up a little more than forecast (a balmy 17 degrees!). We came across one dog who led the pack on a big chase up and down the trail. Poppy and Rey were not very attentive when I called them back, even when there were no particular distractions around, so they stayed on leash for the latter half of the walk once they finally made their way back over to me. Even though Zoey got to stay off leash, she walked right behind me most of the time, sandwiched between her packmates.
