Monday Pack Activities (10/10/2022)
Adventure Pack
A fluffy Portuguese Water Dog was coming up the Chautauqua Trail from behind us, and Dylan backtracked to go say hello. When Ruffers saw Dylan and the other dog greeting each other, she stopped and sat in place, insisting that she also get to make friends with the pup. We waited for the Portuguese Water Dog and Dylan to catch up with us and then Avo came running back from scouting ahead, so she could make friends, too. There was sniffing, wagging, and a few playful hops before the other dog continued on his way up the trail past us.
Variety Pack
Zoey, Carl and Rey preferred walking through the grass over walking on the path today. As they kept their noses down, Zoey and Carl pretty consistently led the pack toward the nearest tree. Lou poked around a little bit with her packmates, but then just looked at me and waited for them to get their fill of sniffing. We came across another dog caretaker named Jackie, and Rey, ran around in a field with a few dogs she was walking. Zoey and Carl ran a big lap together, with Carl jumping up at Zoey's face as much as he could, and then they started trying to tear up grass and eat dirt, which I interrupted. Lou hung out with me and sniffed hello with with the other dogs when they weren't running around.
