Adventure Pack
Lucy kept dry with Nelly while Yoshi and Lou waded in Silver Lake Ditch on our way up the mountain at The Peoples' Crossing. We passed by a group of young kids on a nature outing. The kids moved to the sides of the narrow trail and we weaved our way through, and one boy laughed, "That dog licked me!" after a curious Lucy poked her nose at him in passing. Later on, the dogs watched a hawk fly up from the trail ahead and perch in a nearby tree. Lucy was especially curious about it, and kept staring at it in the tree after her packmates were ready to move on.
Variety Pack
Following the same pattern as this morning, Lucy kept dry with Nelly while Lumi and Carl waded into Boulder Creek. Lumi lay down for a soak, as usual - but this time he refrained from rolling in the dirt when he came out. Nelly was very intrigued by the family of geese at the kids' fishing pond, and watched them with perked ears and stiff posture as we walked by. Shortly after, Lucy's attention was captured by a squirrel in the brush near the footpath. Carl and Lumi, on the other hand, were disinterested in the wildlife.
