Friday Pack Activities (6/28/2024)

Bonus Pack

Blu, Gidget, Arlo, and Racer headed out for a mid-morning walk to Wonderland Lake while the temperature was still mild and the sun was lower in the sky. Regardless, Blu's panting was pretty hard by the end of the walk. The others fared fine, despite Racer and Arlo having black coats. Blu took a bit of water while we were out, but he really went for it once the walk was over. Racer and Gidget also both partook on our water breaks. Arlo dodges away from the CamelBak spout and scrambles, even though he's always the last to move on from any watering hole we come by.

Adventure Pack

Yoshi and Archie eagerly splashed into Boulder Creek at Eben G. Fine Park. Lou also hurried down to the water, but stopped on the step that was only covered by a few millimeters. Nelly hung back and sniffed curiously over the creek. We made another stop further down the creek, where there was a more gradual bank and a large swath of calmer, shallow water. Lou ventured out and lay down in the water there, and Nelly poked around at the water's edge, getting her front paws wet. Yoshi and Archie got some practice walking calmly at my side and paying attention to our pace, which I kept very leisurely as we strolled the well-shaded footpath.

Variety Pack

Eben G. Fine Park was full of people this afternoon. Carl was okay with skipping the usual sniff treatment of one of the trees that Zoey taught him to stop at, because there were too many people by it. When we got to the water, Lumi was the only one interested in getting a full soak in the creek. Alfie and Carl got their paws wet, and Ruffers preferred to stay fully dry. Carl wet his belly during our next water stop, while the others maintained their routines. The pack was in sync and well-mannered throughout the walk, eliciting comments from several passers-by that they were impressed.
