Adventure Pack

The pack was greeted by a very forward and friendly little Miniature Cocker Spaniel named Fynn, who came up from behind us while everyone was sniffing around the trail head. Later, we encountered Fynn, his human, and his other two canine companions (who were less socially inclined) again as we crossed paths going the opposite direction around the southern loop at Shanahan Ridge. Nelly, Yoshi, Tozai, and Lou were all happy to see their new friend again. We also passed a friendly black Lab, who sniffed a brief hello with Nelly and Yoshi before moving on by.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Yoshi, Ruffers, Carl, and Lumi enjoyed strolling along Goose Creek Greenway from Valmont Park this afternoon. There were some sparse calls from the prairie dogs as we walked by their dens. Yoshi and Alfie were pretty tuned into them. Ruffers also perked her ears up at one particularly loud squeak. The dogs all stopped to check out the same patch of overturned sod that had everyone's attentions yesterday, which happens to be right at the grassy mound where Lumi often likes to make a pit stop anyway. With the warm weather, Lumi and Carl were both eager to wet their tongues with a drink from the CamelBak. Yoshi took a couple curious licks as well, but not with the same thirsty intention. Ruffers and Alfie took a pass.
