Friday Pack Activities (2/14/2025)
Bonus Pack
Lou, Teo, and Milo strolled to Wonderland Lake again today. Teo was marginally calmer than yesterday but still whined with almost every exhale until the home stretch, and he got a bit wild when another dog passed by us. Lou and Milo again remained cool and collected. There were a couple times along the way when Lou and Milo stopped to sniff a bush or a patch of snow, and Teo tuned in to sniff along for them for a few moments before returning to scanning the scene and whining with nervous anticipation.
Adventure Pack
Yoshi, Nelly, Tozai, and Lou kept tangling up their leashes as they all milled about sniffing near the trail head at the Shanahan Ridge connector. There continued to be a bit of shuffling as we made our way to the main trail. Tozai found a stick to carry, and Yoshi made some attempts to steal it until I had him leave it so he wouldn't keep crossing over and tripping me up. A dog in a nearby yard barked as the pack paused for a potty break. Nelly turned toward the source and whined until we moved along. After a while, Yoshi and Tozai spent some time off leash together. At first, Tozai just followed Yoshi around and marked the spots Yoshi marked. After a bit of that, the two of them got into a wrestling match much like Tozai had done with Bear earlier in the week. They were starting to get pretty rowdy and not backing off, so I interrupted their fun and got them back on leash to finish out the hike.
Variety Pack
The pack headed to Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. Everybody poked along through the field at Martin Park, sniffing and marking as we crossed it. We made a few stops for the pack to sniff around in snowy areas, and Lumi lay in the snow one of those times, while his packmates checked out the area. Griff and Carl were the sniffiest of the crew, and pulled over for a lot of brief stops along the way. Yoshi and Ruffers were just happy to be out and about, and walked quite nicely together by my side.
