Adventure Pack

Mamacita sported her green sweatshirt this morning for our hike in the cold. Sputnik, Roger Roger, and Rucksack's denser coats kept them warm enough. Sputnik and Rucksack were both extremely interested in sniffing around in the snowy brush as we went. Mamacita and Sputnik weren't particularly friendly when a yellow Lab came along and paused to stare at us from a short distance away. It may be coincidence, but it seems to me that our pack members who sometimes lack civility tend to be most prone to such outbursts when the temperature drops.

Variety Pack

Racer and Monarch trotted through the snow beside the path for much of the way as we walked around Wonderland Lake this afternoon. Clover, Isaac, and Zoe all trotted along with me very nicely. Rey was pretty interested in the people and dogs whom we passed, but she didn't leap forward into the air to try to get to them, as she sometimes does. Despite the low temperature today, nobody's paws got so cold that they had to hold them up.
